we're looking at waves anywhere from 10 to 14 feet out there. you can see no one is in the water, but there are a lot of people along the beaches. the beaches here have remained open all stay. the life guards are patrolling up and down looking for people who are a little too eager to get out into that water, swimming closed off even to the most experienced swimmers, that goes for surfers and boogie borders as well. a couple of rescues this morning, people trying to get an early start by swimming in hurricane waters, but other than that, no tragedies here from hurricane earl, which is now well offshore which is about 100 miles off the coast and racing towards new england. by tomorrow, beautiful conditions for the labor day holiday, the only real threat will be the rip currents that remain out there in the atlantic for the many tourists who are taking advantage of the good weather here. >> we learned about the problems in new jersey, so out of the water there, be safe. >>> let's go talk further about early which is expected to weaken gradually wit
